Community Room
THE SALEM HOUSING AUTHORITY/DENT COUNTY COMMUNITY ROOM RULES & REGULATIONS
The Salem Housing/Dent County Community Room is primarily provided for individuals or groups in Dent County
for the purpose of sponsored social events and business or committee meetings. Nominal rental charges are made to
defray part of the costs of operating the Community Room.
*Reserving the room may be done at Salem Housing Authority Office, Monday through Friday at
573-729-6453. Office hours: 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
*A $25.00 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract are required at the time of booking.
*Room reservations are on a first come/first serve basis.
*The building is an ALCOHOL FREE and SMOKE FREE facility.
*All groups are responsible for damage to the facilities, equipment, or furnishings and will pay for the replacement of
such.
*There will be no admission or money-making activity with the exception of fund-raising for a not-for-profit entity.
*The cleanup checklist (posted on the refrigerator) must be completed before leaving the building.
*Return the key the next business day to Salem Housing Authority Office. No keys are to be left in the drop box.
*Salem Housing Authority/Dent County Community Center is not responsible or liable for personal injury or theft of
personal items.
*The room is not to be used as a workroom for crafting or building items, painting or gluing objects.
*The room will not be available to any groups opposed or subversive to principles of our Democratic society.
*Salem Housing Authority/Dent County Community Center reserves the right to deny any group or cancel any
commitment at any time.
